I'm thinking that this will be what I'll be doing thanks Nanook. Providing they'll be able to cover the tyre? Went out today and definitely see the point of flares covering the tyres [emoji23]

Yeah tell us what offset the wheels are or what size 16x8? and what back spacing or offset? Then we can advise on what will cover them.

If the outside of the tire is more than an inch out of the new fender then you will want 2 inch. It depends a bit on if your goal is just not to draw attention or to actually have them covered, stop the mud from slinging, and avoid the possibility of a fine I guess.

And yet... first time you get it into a cutting or deep ruts you'll see the wisdom of having the tires sticking outside of the guards.... its a no win situation

You have to make the call, how much on the road risk are you prepared to take vs off road practicality ?
