Electronics, go genuine. It's not worth the hassle of cheap chinese parts when you're dealing with WG electrics. Having said that, I just replaced mine again for the 2nd time in two years with the original one that was in it, because the genuine one I bought was tripping the check engine light
On a v8, the easiest way to do it is remove the battery and battery tray, remove the camshaft sensor wiring plug and use a 10mm spanner to remove the retaining bolt and pull it out. Be cafeful of any shim/spacers that may be fitted between the camshaft sensor and cylinder head.
