Not long after a servicing with wheels rotated I started to get shuddering when I have the steering at full lock. I have checked the fluid levels with them being within limits. Has anyone else had this problem?
I'm betting:
Wrong Transfer Case Oil ( should be straw colour. If it's red it's wrong)
No FM in QDII ( if equipped)
I changed the gearbox and transfer case as a unit and it had a shudder when turning corners, the box and tc had been sitting for some time, the shudder went away but
I will still be changing the oil, have some Mobilfluid 424 here for the job
I found it is a Quadra Trac from the labeling on the shifter. Also it only happens when the jeep is moving forward, not when stationary or reversing. Only the engine oil was changed nothing else. I have had a minor weep from the PS hose at the fitting at the top of the pump.
