Default WH Headlights "They need to be brighter"

Hi Guys,

I would appreciated recommendations for value for money, easy to fit either replacement globes or actual headlights for my 2006 WH CRD QDII

After switching my spotty's off, it's like switching all lights off. Currently ones are shocking.

Cheers

Maybe you just need new globes?

The ones on my 2006 I recently bought are probably too bright. I've had cars a couple of times flash me suggesting to turn off my high beams, that weren't on lol.

Compared to my previous WJ, these are heaps brighter.

Confirm what Shane001 said about new globes, I just have cheap ebay leds in the low beam and the output is heaps better than the standard jobs, but the numbers are not the same as in the handbook so pull the existing one out and check the number( wish I had done this first!).
Also polished the lenses up too, but yours look good in the pic.
The other thing is those driving lights, mine are the cheapest kings 7 inch(yours look like 9inch in the pic), and they are so bloody bright I have to dip them on the country roads out my way because the reflected light from even small road signs hurts. So even high power low beams will look crap after that.
Your WH looks good, how did the QDII perform in the sand??

Thanks for your suggestions, much appreciated.

My Jeep was the only one I saw on the whole trip, although it was "raining" Jeep comments often. LOL

It took all challenges with ease. 95ltrs diesel for 554kms (17l/100), although it would have been much better if I wasn't having so much fun conquering Big Red 4 times on standard Toyo Open Country AT2 245/65R17 tyres

I've replaced them now for 265/65R17's (no clearance problems)

Cheers

I have replaced all my front bulbs with LED's. Todays LED's are much improved on the earlier versions, and often now simply direct replacement without the need for extra wiring and ballasts etc.
Good ones even avoid the scatter of earlier LED's.

High beam bulb = H9
Low beam bulb = H11

I do not use (or think that I need for normal use) accessory lighting and have had good results with Auxito bulbs. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/39411282...frcectupt=true

I have been very happy with my STEDI globes used in my KK.

They have them for your WH too.
