I can't name a particular shop but search for a Mercedes transmission expert. If you just want basic service (filter and oil) just about any shop can do that but if you suspect problems Merc mech's know this transmission better then most.

When asking around tell them its a 722.6 5 speed.

Can't see an option for trans temp in Bluedriver ??

To give you a rough idea I had mine idling for
5 mins changing through gears on the hoist
to check the electronics and operation.
The temperature was just over 70, according to
the AutoEnginuity software.

If I remember correctly REV could read trans/ engine temp.
http://www.devtoaster.com/products/rev/

I do know scan gauge II will.
https://www.scangauge.com/

Remember... the jeep uses the same data (for use of a better word) for engine temp as it does for trans temp.

Any device that shows engine temp will display trans temp when in "D" or "R". The outputs switch! Only shows engine temp through OBD in neutral or park and trans temp in drive or reverse. (I hope I got that right )

interesting i can see real time engine temp whilst driving, so maybe ill try park or neutral to see if i can find a trans temp then which im pretty sure ive done.

i have been thing of getting the GDE Tune which then can scan and show info, do you know if the GDE tool show trans temp (before i rush out an buy something else) . if it does ill just bite the bullet an get it. killing two birds with one stone.
After having a quick read about the GDE scan tool it sounds to be limited to what it can do, so might be still better off getting something else as well at least then i can still check my other car.
