Default 1996 Factory Service Manual Link

1996 Factory Service Manual Link

Please find attached the "Electrical Chapter" of the 1996 FSM

This is invaluable to 1996 owners as it does not exist in electronic form, but was photocopied by a previous member of this forum from the dealer and he converted it. I was able to download it from him, and pass on the knowledge
(Cant remember his nickname, but he owned a '96 since new, was an auto electrician, and posted a lot on this forum, but sold his vehicle a while back)

To the best of my know how, for '96 owners, you will need the 95 FSM for everything else

Please let me know if this link does not work

Hi,

The link states access denied, but can be requested. Permissions may may need to be changed to allow open access. I'll send an access request as it would be nice to get a copy to add to my collection of FSMs.

If you access gmail via mail.google.com you can email large files, which will be done by uploading the file to your google drive. It would mean waiting for the file to upload again, but if you can email it to me at filetransfer@tjwrangler.com I'll try hosting it on my google drive and see if it will work for others to download.

ok, I tried a couple of things and believe I was succesful in

a) granting you permission to view the link

b) as instructed, re-uploading and emailing you the entire Chapter

let us know how things are going

I have at least one other outstanding request on my Gmail for the manual

(It appears I have to authorise each request that is sent to my Gmail, not entirely satisfactory, as it is my secondary email...I did just authorise Mark, and a somebody-or-other Marsh)

I have received a notification of shared file from google drive on my phone, followed by an email so both shares seem to have worked.

I've merged all of the files into one PDF and added a clickable index at the front. The file size is huge compared to the normal PDF file sizes which I think is in part due to the scan resolution creating pages about 4x normal size. I've rescaled the pdf, which doesn't change the file size much so I'm now trying to compress it.

Edit: Compression has completed and quality seems pretty good. I'll upload the smaller file to my google drive and share the link once it's done. File size is now around 60MB vs 260MB.

Hopefully anybody with this link should now be able to view this reduced size PDF file.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mWY...ew?usp=sharing

Edit: I've just signed out of my google account then tried the link. It opens up the PDF in drive PDF viewer within my firefox browser, and there's a download link for it near the top right of the webpage.
