i dont either. i put adjustable control arms in it and made the uppers 15mm longer than the originals. they told me the caster was good but the camber is out. i put a smart level on the front wheels and it showed the measurements they gave me were right. you can see the wheels laying in at the top so i guess he got that right.

Why wouldn't he,the machine tells him you have neg camber. Why would they need to lie? Won't make a lick of diff, you have no camber adjustment anyway.

Unless you have adj upper and lower front arms the caster cannot be stagged to get these XJ POS driving straight.

Biggest heap I ever WA's was a 750iL BMW V12...was pulling left.It only had toe adjustment, the front end was set up like a old Escort.Swaybar went through the lower arms to make strut bars.

this has adjustable upper and lower arms. they told me i need wedges to fix the camber and said they couldnt adjust the caster even if it was out. i didnt argue just paid the money and took it away. they did say they adjusted the tow to stop it wandering. wedges? cant adjust caster? i'm pretty sure they didnt look at it too hard. anyway all i want to know is where i can get offset balljoints from. i know they make them just cant find any

You don't really won't want offset ball joints, they don't last as the ball is half the size of the standard ball joints to allow the offset, with a smiley diff the best option is to get it straightend, if your on the gold coast Wayne at Jeep Food can straighten the diff housing in the car without having to remove it & much more cost effective than replacing expensive offset ball joints at $180 each trade plus fitting

My XJ has adjustments on the LCA mounts.
I am going to lengthen the holes about 1/4" more so I have plenty of castor.

With adjustable arms you have all the caster adjustment you can possibly want, the only issue is you can only adjust the total caster and not individually from side to side, you should be able to get offset balljoints landed for around the $100ea mark or so.

As for the "ball" being half the size there is no ball in them, they are merely a pin inside a sleeved cup...

They are also a sinch to fit, I made a press to do my control arm bushes in the front diff and found it also works on the upper balljoints....

Easy as....
