Default 95 XJ - Fuel line quick connectors, Aus source?

Hey guys,

Got a leak on one of the quick connect fuel lines at the fuel rail. Mine's the 95 with the two lines, and each connector is the two-tab design that you squeeze and pull off. I've done a little digging around online, and basically what I need is;

83502745 x 2

And Dorman's 800.080 x 2

Does anyone have any idea if these can be purchased in Australia somewhere? All I've been able to find is USA suppliers who all want insane money for these little things, and then insane shipping on top, and THEN the exchange rate kicks my butt! There's got to be an Australian source on these, surely?

Or since I NEVER have a need to remove the fuel lines, is there some alternative mod... a 'quick connect delete' essentially. Why not just connect the fuel line to the fuel rail nipples and hose clamp it... seems to work fine on every other vehicle I've ever seen.

Just trying to budget repairs and $60 to $100 for a couple of simple plastic connectors does my head in. But despite owning this XJ for 20 years now, when it comes to repairs and parts sources I'm still pretty much clueless... Appreciate any help!

I bought a 'Fuel Line Disconnect' set from either Supercheap or Bursons (can't remember which), has seven different sizes and was less than $20.

If they are any thing like trannie cooler quick connections you can dig out the O ring and just replace it, cost no more than $2

OP is after connections, not the disconnect set

Hmm I guess I could do that - I have whole o-ring kits at home, some rated for fuel / oil / trans / power steering etc. But from what I've read online, these 20yo baked plastic clips are all but certain to disintegrate when I take them apart. I'd at least like some replacements on hand just in case haha.

No worries, it's all good.

I just figure, with how popular these XJ's are in Aus, someone must know a decently priced in-country source on these things, or some alternative way of rigging it up that's just as reliable perhaps.

I got the fuel rail one off no problems just make sure there is no pressure in fuel rail do this by pulling fuel pump fuse and starting car or unplugging pump at tank while you are at it you can do th o rings on the fuel press reg to the. Mine where shot causing low rail pressure . I think I used two thin o rings on the inner as could not get one wide enough.
