Default Jeep CRD Solid flywheel conversion finally available

Hey guys,

Im sure a few of you have had issues with the friggen CRD clutches and gay-as-******-on-a-moustache dual mass flywheels!

Im aware that some jeepers have already converted to solid mass flywheels by using their existing flywheel as a template. the problem with this is that you would have to remove the old unit, send it away and then wait for the replacement, with your jeep possibly taking up space on a hoist in a workshop in the meantime!

well all that has finally changed! Im the second customer to by a heavy duty solid flywheel and clutch kit from NPC clutches in Qld.

First drive is on monday (because im waiting on a slave cylinder which was just as f*cked as the dual mass flwheel)

here is a few pics of NPC's new kit

Oops sorry!
the heavy duty kit including clutch, flywheel and throwout bearing is $1700

and there is a standard replacement kit (but with solid flywheel) for around $1500...but why waste ya time?

Im also donating my old flywheel to Clutch and brake Australia, so that they can use it as a template for another part number this way no jeep owner will have to go this shite again.

well i have picked up the jeep three days ago, so far i have done 600km and been offroad in the hills (mundaring powerlines for the perth fellas) and in the sand dunes with alot of high revving dune climbs and i am absolutely stoked!
if i knew my CRD jk could drive this well with a solid i would have done it BEFORE the stock one failed!

none of the normal solid conversion symptoms like vibration or noise...nothing, slightly heavier pedal because i got a heavy duty kit but its barley noticeable.

much better bottom end torque now, really helped me embarrass the FJ cruiser i went offroad with...but then again, it was never a fair fight was it
