I Agree..Need a bit more tech info though eg:

Are they extended (long) travel?

Also with the WK2 there is 2 types of steel suspension: standard and the Nivomat self levelling.

The tow pack option comes with the Nivomat rear shock absorber that have a different top pin mount and extended and compressed lengths so if replacing Nivomat shocks there needs to be a couple of different options to suit both suspensions.

Does your lift kit cater for the 2 types??

For those who want to check what rear suspension they have:

Call the dealer with your VIN or measure the shocky dia:

Standard fitment: 51mm (outside diameter)
Nivomat: 63mm (outside diameter)diameters

Hey team,
So I have some questions in regards to lifts and who to use. I have looked at Rocky road and they have stated that "After installation of a Rocky Road lift, you will still have the same safe and sane handling on your daily driver... just taller and better", the only thing is these just look like spacers added and as an optional extra some control arms. What I would like to know is how effective is this method? what are the pro's and con's? and does the murchison lift stack up to this or exceed it? also does anyone else have a lift outside of these guys and how does it go? I am not after an earth churning monster truck but I do want a reliable lift that will give me that extra couple of inches (don't we all want that??) of clearance and still be great to drive on the black top.

Hi Scruffa,

Take a look at Icon4x4suspension.com.au for more info about the lift kit

I researched all the variants, weighing up the cost against use. I ended up lifting the front by 2" with King springs and fitting airbags in the rear. It basically set the vehicle level (5mm lower in front) but I find it gave me the extra clearance I needed off road without feeling like a truck on road.

It was a lot cheaper to do this way (I fitted it all myself), every set up is a compromise so you just need to decide exactly what you want from your lift.

Cheers

I've recently had a lift kit from Dobinson's put in mine. Supposed to be a 40mm lift, but I think the front was lifted more cause it now sits pretty level rather than nose down as standard (looks far better level).
The kit consists of shocks & springs. Have the rear shock chuckle back, but when it was pointed out to them they said there is a new design rear shock & are going to replace them when they get them in. Can't complain about the service I've gotten from them.
Just got back from a trip to Victoria where we did the Blue Rag & other tracks, & the height makes a big difference off road.
Rides real good on & off road.
