Here you go:

http://www.inlandtruckcentres.com.au...lights-inserts

Britax inserts are simply replacement headlight housings with plastic rather than glass (like the OE headlights)

Cheers mate. What makes them better? No lenses or bugger bulbs? Do they cause issues pulling more amps?

Seem like a good alternative to leds

I found the britax inserts to not colour the light so much - OE headlights had a yellow tinge to them and the britax with ~80 bulbs (cant remember if I had phillips or narva / etc) makes it a bit brighter with less yellow. From there, I went to led 'bulbs' which replaced the standard globes - one died so ended up going trucklites and using some LED strip lighting for the parker lights

A well designed & focused relector is what makes them so good. The inserts are just what holds the globe & directs the light & these are a very good one compared to the OEM inserts. Amps are only affected if you use high wattage globes in the inserts.

If you stick to H4 globes with a + rating, the amps are unaffected.

The Britax lenses are tough too and their waterproof-ness is impressive. Mine have seen their fair share of torrential rain, mud and stones (I drive through roadworks daily) and don't have any leaks, scratches or cracks.

I use Philips +130 bulbs which give very white light but I also use interior LEDs with blue-ish white light as the parkers (they use T10 wedge parker lights) to give the light a whiter appearance when you look at it.

I have tried the Ebay headlights advertised with the Philips LEDs and they have awesome high beams, very diffuse low beams and cause heaps of FM radio interference (a deal-breaker for me)

Default Narva 72000 inserts

I sell both the Britax and Narva inserts at work and side by side they are almost identical.

I only ended up with the Narva inserts as they were a considerable amount cheaper to me than the Britax.

I've been running Phillips +130 globes and they are a fantastic upgrade to both the low and high beam.
I'm not too fussed about the high beam as where I can use my high bean I turn my light bar on!

Another beauty of the Narva inserts is they are impervious to cracking after being left on all day and doing a river crossing with them left on.
The pic below is crossing the Murray River at Tom Groggin and I deliberately left the headlights on to prove they wouldn't crack.
