Ahh OK.

I found it confusing, because the Uneek sliders have the following dot point in the description:

*Completely bolt on. Bolts to chassis with not cutting drilling or welding required

vs.

"These sliders bolt directly into the frame."

Given the comments above, I'm wondering if this is where the Sill Armour/Rocker Gaurds/Whatever they're called come into it? To help strengthen the lower part of the tub for a worst case scenario? Clearly a big enough hit might still munt everything, but then wondering if say Uneek Sliders + Sill Armour then comes a bit closer to being up to the task?

Personally, I liked the Nemesis Billy Rockers, though re-reading the description I'm not so sure anymore...

Has anyone got any other interesting frame mounted sliders? I liked the look of the smittybilt src rocker guard but for a 4 door, it only mounts on the front and back body bolts and all the American forums say they bend in the middle into the body.

I've come across On Track Fabrication deluxe slider. It's a good looking dimple plate slider made in WA that mounts to the frame.

Looking like a goer to me.

Do they do them for Jeeps?
I thought they lived on a strict rice diet.

Yeah I called them to check coz the site didn't have many jeeps shown.

For thw jk he said they weld a block or bracket to the frame then the slider bolts to the bracket so it's removable. 1100ish bucks so not the cheapest but looks tougher than smittybilt

Those Nemesis slides are exactly the style (but not the exact brand) that I referred to in a previous post....a big hit transferred energy into the tub and bent it. Personal choice thing, But I wouldn't run that style.

I'd research the design and certification aspects before allowing anyone to weld on your chassis. (Although, people may laugh at that considering the quality of the original Jeep welding.)
Remember the "only as strong as the weakest link rule". If your weakest link is the chassis in the event of a heavy impact on a rock or the like, it could twist, break or crack it.
I'd rather repair a body sill dent or bent rock slider than have to contend with a damaged chassis.
May be some legal issues with the install as well.
Not saying not to go ahead, just research it first.
I have a Blackjack set which are mounted from the body mounts. The thing is, if it gets pushed up into the body, it is designed with a full length of box section just below the body sill, but not touching.
This will distribute the impact (and probably already has at times) over the entire length of the sill reducing the chance of denting the body.
The box section also strengthens the actual rock slider.
Unfortunately, I don't think Blackjack is making this stuff any more.
