Its not going to drain your oil when you pull it off but certainly drain your coolant, fit new cooler, flush coolant system, not an engine coolaant flush but something to get rid of the oil so has to be decent stuff, once you have got it all cleaned, hoses replaced then I would take it for a run, get it nice and hot, so a good run, any moisture if it managed to be around would be burnt off, then once cooled down give it an oil/filter change..... don't forget to have the heater on full when you drop the coolant and flush it as well, you want as much of that oil out as as possible and it may need another go later on .... the header tank I would remove and give a good bath in degreaser or dishwashing liquid, I find that to be pretty good, if its nice and clean its a good indicator if theres still some oil weeping form the plumbing.... the more hoses you replace the less crap that will leach out again over time......... of course dip the oil first before you take for the run, if oil is correct level and black as then should be good, if its a murky black or grey then drop it before you go for a run.............
