Dont know what size hands you have...but...if you have pygmy lady contortionist thin hands the globe inspection holes in the inner guards are useable....if you dont, and/or your not an octopus...you will struggle using those as access points...its not just the size of the access hole...its the angle and distance fro the hole needed to get to back of the globe....some struggle....some have no problems....rubberised flexy thin hands, wrists and forearms are an advantage.

The recommended YOUTUBE video goes a long way to making the removal and installation process as straight forward as possible. I definitely dont hands, arms and forearms like Farwest recommends😊.

Add that its helpful to have a cleanish work area (I gave the front end a wash-down); follow the methodology - no short cuts; make use of a platform to get better reach into the engine bay and my super tip is I used a old bathroom mirror angling it to reflect into the light area which is bit tucked away.

In all it took me about 30 minutes.

Oh and one more upgrade globe option is STEDI. They do a D3S upgrade globe that has got favorable reviews. Am not too sure of the price but believe the quality is first-class and STEDI is a Aussie company from Victoria.

Big fan of Stedi's products, but those who have tried their D3S bulb in a WK2 have reported being disappointed - as in, it's fine but not really an upgrade. I have a feeling that Stedi actually acknowledged this and removed the D3S bulb from the products suitable for the WK2 on their website.

I just assumed you pulled the header tank and air box out and there it all was, remove cover from HiD and it all unclips/unplugs whatever.............. The price of the things beggers belief so not on my radar. But I fully understand the need for decent lighting, on a brisie to Isa run I could destroy all 6 lights in a single night, thankfully I wasn't paying.....Imagine if they were HiDs.
