Kyro and Shado... thanks. I'm enjoying driving it now.

here are some more pics... I got to get a front driveshaft (since I got rid of the cv joint on the yoke), custom made somewhere in Perth, then I can get some off roading shots.

In the mean time, it's on the grass...

Yeah tell me about it. I was shocked at how close the tyres came to the fenders. I have adjusted the rear control arms as much back as possible, still can go a bit more but I'm waiting on longer arms to arrive from the States (JKS ones, I think they have the best design).

But the good thing is that the diff can't come much more forward than it is during suspension movement.

I guess ZJ's were never designed for 33s!

Oh btw, once you get the Patrol diff under your rig I can make that traction arm for you (price? Unbeatable...)

Cheers

have you flexed it yet...
at 5.5" lift, the arm are almost 45degree
they will push back or forward as it goes up...
so you properly don't need too long of arms or cut any more body

I had it at Lancelin today (sand dunes) and my God was it awesome. I didn't have a front prop shaft on but I did 95% of what people in 4wd did. I love it with 33s and 4.56 gears in low range. It's got so much grunt I can drift the whole car doing 70/80kms on the sand. I never had so much fun on sand.

Yeah I got bogged twice, but that was my fault.

Suprisingly it did not really rub. I did notice some rubbing when it bottomed out but still cant figure out where it hit, tyres not chewed up by any metal which is good news.

Check my other post for pics on the sand.
