Default Waeco CDF 45 opinions please

Hi I can get a CDF 45 on special at BCF for $649. What are peoples thought re these. I looked a Repco brand one similar $20-30 cheaper but the bag looked cheap. Opinions please.

I've got a CDF35 and I'm happy with it. I use it when it's just me on a trip with the boys or for day trips. The CDF series doesn't have the digital thermostat or the other power saving features of the CF series. It also doesn't have as good a warranty. It's taken me a while to figure out the correct setting so that it doesn't freeze everything. They're a good fridge for the price but you might want to look at the CF45 or 50 if you are concerned about power consumption.

Hi Grahame I ended up laybying one today. Energy consumption is about 1.1amps per hr, so I am pretty happy with that. Currently my little TCFL 14 uses almost 5x that and I get 10hrs from the 75ah aux before it reaches 11.8v and with both aux's I get about 18hrs. so if I get 4x the life that will be good enough for me. The CF series were a little too expensive, close to 1k. Major difference I would have liked was the CF series can get down an extra 5 deg.
Thanks for the feedback on the CDF. When it comes in now I know I will have to play with the switch to get it cold but not freeze. The girl was talking about using a thermometer and I was unsure why she would say that but now I understand the slide switch does not indicate the actual temp.

regards A

I did 4 days in the high country a couple of weeks ago, moving to a new spot every day. My 36 ah Waeco battery had no trouble running it each day after it had charged while I was driving. I'm a bit of a Waeco whore, I've got 3 fridges, the battery, and the RAPS power supply.
