Can you tell us the center to center hole spacing between the mounting tabs? I'd like to have a pair of spotlights and aerial ready to go when these bars become available and would like to ensure the spotlights will fit on the center two tabs without hitting each other (or maybe even four spotlights and some way to mount the aerial down next to where the bar attaches to the mounts - that would be completely badass).
Hey Matt,

We've actually decided to change the mounting tabs to make it a bit easier for everyone. Sadly there isn't any industry standard mounting pattern for lights. The new design will have one long slotted tab, running the whole length of the bar. That way you can position your lights/accessories where ever you like and the bar will accommodate all sorts of different mounting patterns.

Cheers,
Bill

It works really well with the parking sensors on our MY12 WK2, but we still need to test it on a MY14. The parking sensors are in different locations on the MY14 and may be more sensitive. We have a test fitting organised for this Saturday Nov 1st, but the MY14 WK2 has cancelled. If we can find another MY14 WK2 willing to come down, I should have a more definitive answer for everyone.

Cheers,
Bill

I like where your head's at—that's a great idea.

Like I said, hanging out to purchase one!

Hey Guys,

We had our test fitting on Saturday and the WK2 Nudge Bar is coming along nicely.

A few features we've designed into the WK2 Nudge Bar.
1. A tapered tab on the bottom of the nudge bar, fits down into a tapered hole on the mounting bracket. This locks the bar to the mounting bracket similar to how a wheel lug nut locks your wheel onto your car. It's incredibly strong and best of all, completely invisible when bolted in place.
2. The mounting brackets swivel slightly to make installation much easier.
3. The mounting brackets have a bit of extra steel on the inside edge to keep a bow shackle from hitting the nudge bar during a vehicle recovery.
4. Accessory mounting tab is slotted to accommodate various mounting positions and bolt patterns.

Based on the test fitting of this prototype we're making the following changes.
1. Extending the height of the nudge bar to accommodate parking sensors on MY14 WK2s as well as provide better spacing behind the bar to accommodate the depth of various accessories when mounted to the bar.
2. Adjusting the angles of the bar to better follow the front contours of the vehicle.
3. Adjusting the mounting brackets to better account for manufacturing tolerances and increase ease of installation.

I'm hoping to have the next prototype before our Weekend Wheeling trip to LCMP. Hopefully just in time to give it (and my new ARB Intensity LED Spotties) some good off-road testing.

Cheers,
Bill

I had a look at this set up while I was there, I really like how tidy this fitting is. Will make it really easy to fit and remove too.
