Finally cracked, looks like I'm going WK2
Well I am at the crossroad, selling the Commander and after looking around, I think the WK2 diesel is the car I will buy.
Funny really, because when I bought the Commander, I was moving on from Land Rover Discoveries and I dreaded the thought of buying a Jeep.
Well after 9 years, I'm impressed, love the Commander and would buy another in a blink.
I've looked at the Pajero, Prado and most others, but after driving the WK2 it is a no brainer.
The sad bit is, I can't I put the front diff and centre diff from the Commander into the WK2.

I'd wait till the Grand Wagoneer is launched.
If the rumors are true it will be body on frame (Dodge ram style).

I know what you mean, I just keep choking when I go to buy a car, because it will entail selling the Commander.
It really has a personality, it is like getting rid of your red healer, it isn't pretty but it is loyal to the end and always gives its best.
So I still haven't done it, looked at a few, but despite the WK2 being a great car, it lacks a bit of personality.

Well the standard Commander rims have gone, looks like I'm forcing myself to let go, anyone interested in a Commander snorkel.
New, never been used, bought it for the Cape York trip that never happened.

Mate, I know exactly how you feel. I am in the same position, was intending to sell my WH and get a WK, but it is hard to part with the old car, especially when it is still so good at 200k.
I can't find anything more suitable than the WK either, but now have been reading stories about engine failures with the ecodiesel. Maybe I should look for a later model WH with low k's...

I cannot part with my WJ neither. The JKU Rubi is great off road but still behind my WJ for overall drivability and comfort, on and off road.

Well finally the deed is done, bought an Overland, now it's fingers crossed it is as good as the Commander.
I guess it means, the Commander is for sale, if anyone is interested.
I will post it on here, before putting it on Gumtree, as it is a really good car and has done about 2 hours of off road work.
