Hopefully there is a positive outcome to this event.
Contact the Corolla's insurance company and give then quotes for aftermarket rear bars, if it's cheaper, then they move approve one over the OEM bar. The worst they can say is no

I want one with a tyre carrier that can also carry a couple of jerry cans for the long trips. Like the concept that AEV and a few others have adopted with the single action tailgate swing away but no one I can see has this option. I see AEV can attach one jerry however I would prefer 2.

Open to suggestions/advice
have you seen the body armor bar & tyre carrier.

has the option of carrying 2 x 20lts jerries.

I recently got this rear bar made for my Jeep. It's suits my needs of carrying 2 jerry cans. I can give you the details of the guy who made it if you are interested? Sorry for the bad quality iphone pic (was raining when i took it), can take a better one tomorrow if you're interested.

what they don't know wont hurt them.

Acko73, I have looked on the General site and havent seen any rear bars on there. I am going to speak to Dave in the coming week/s to help him out with a little design problem so may speak to him then. Will probably go with his front bar as it is the only one that has ADR's and takes a Hi-mount.

Ferkew - Yes like them. I am still torn between going full width rear or the narrow type like the body armor. Leaning towards a full width though.

Adrian93 - Thanks for the offer mate. I have spent so many years making custom parts for my rigs, part of the reason I went with a Jeep is because of the massive variety of aftermarket parts. Im going to do this one (well the bar work) with off the shelf items for a change.

I should probably start a build thread. Sorry for hijacking the nature of the thread.
