Wheels, Tires and Updates

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to jeep ownership, as I recently bought a 2015 WK Grand Cherokee.

Its the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with 265/50/20 tyres and stock 20" rims, and the infotainment system is the one with Navigation and DAB.

My questions are:

1. I am looking at replacing the wheels and tyres. I wanted to go something a little more aggressive. What are the best sized wheels and tires I can put on what recommendations do you have? I have been told I can't go any smaller than 18" and that steel wheels are basically out of the question.

2. I want to get my uConnect up to date (v17 is what I want) but I have not been able to find the updates for it, even on SOX's site. Does anyone know where I can get the update, and if anyone with the same car as me has applied it?

Hi Mate,
I have the same Model.
Are you going to get a Lift or leave as standard suspension?
I had a Lift and put on BFG K02 275/55/20 will be getting 18's next time.
They should fit yours without a lift but may rub a bit.
Check out murchinsonproducts he has great info and gear for the WK. So does Uneek and Off Road Animal.

I have a 2015 with 18” wheels. 265/65/18 BFG Ko2’s and I love them. 265/65/18 is the biggest size that still fits in the spare storage under the deck. There are already MANY threads on wheels and tires, do a search and read til you get tired...

As for newest Uconnect, assuming you’re after CarPlay/android auto- from what I understand the 2015 hardware cant support it; there is no official update for that anyway.
