Was looking to do patrol diffs in mine, just went the scout diffs as all the same era and just worked. Love to see pics of the build if you get it going, plenty of options using patrol diffs
What did you end up doing? I have an 84 Cj7 with a 5L 308 in it. Had it for 10 years. Not auto though. Might be looking to part with it soon. It's never been restored and is in very good condition inside and out. Never been off road, only ever driven in the rain 2 or 3 times in its life and hard top had never been taken off until I bought it 10 years ago.
