Ha... good point FrishFrame.

Had the TassieJeepOwners site live in 2012 when I first posted this thread!

Since then all activity moved to a Facebook Group called Tassie Jeep Owners

https://www.facebook.com/tasjeep/

and then was stopped and activity started at Tas Jeeps

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1716863545237558/

Hope that makes sense...

I should update my signature, here ah!

Cheers
Chumby.

Check out my Ride(s)
Default

Bit of a thread revival (but I wasn't the first lol)

So looking at the current NSW requirements, there is no actual diameter increase limit for the tyres or wheels, other than.
Speedometer accuracy must be maintained and adjusted where necessary.
Cannot exceed 50mm increase in wheel track.
Cannot exceed 12.5mm wheel offset.
And of course must maintain clearances to bodywork and suspension.

So it looks like as long as you adhere to the suspension and ride height limits (which I haven't read haha) you can go as tall as you can fit with your tyres.

Not exactly Shane. It is in fact that ride height that limits you and determines whether no assessment or certification is required.

Wouldn't you need to change your wheel offset by 25mm to achieve a 50mm increase in wheel track

i believe in Vic it is measured from outside of the tire, so increasing tire width will increase wheel track unless you use a more positive offset, i run 33x12.5r15 with -19 offset, when i measure it up i am ~100mm wider each side, so 200mm wheel track increase
