Given I have lifted my gaurds a good 3 inches there is not alot of room to put it anywhere else. I could have put a smaller unit but I prefer as much air filter surface area as I can get. A couple of hood vents are on the cards aswell just to keep the temp under check...

thus giving hot air to the engine = less power than standard
In theory yes, but probably wouldn't heat air any more than the intake manifold does...and it's the only place the filter will fit with guards raised...

I have my airbox (stock) mounted in the same location above the engine.
Shortens the snorkel tube length a LOT, and I didn't notice any power decrease....
Mines moved to accomodate my OBA & AiRock setup.

Some nice looking fab work there. Nice work bench there too
