Default JK Wrangler Rocksliders

Made from 3.5 mm RHS DuraGal 100x50 Rectangles mounted to subfram and sills over the hole lenghts. No problems lifting the car up on sliders. Top can still used as step covered with Rubber.

Errrm, sounds like you've now tied the body into the chassis with those sliders, ok on an XJ where they are one piece anyway but on the JK with a separate chassis the two will move independantley of each other over bumps etc and when you flex. When this happens something will have to give and my guess i you'll be tearing up the sill where you've bolted the sliders.

If you look at TJ sliders and XJ sliders you'll see the difference, yours should be like the TJ sliders.

Cheers
Steve

Yep they look great but i think SteveF is right the tub is on rubber mounts which allow it to move so just cut the seam bit off and maybe add another support in the middle to help

the standard steps mout the same way on the jk's 2 bolts through the lower sill then a plat theat goes under to a strengthend prt net to the body mounts so these are mounted only to the body independent of the chassis

Cool, the subframe bit was what made me think they were attached to the frame and the body.

Cheers
