so u can still open the tailgate up all the way without it hitting it.

Thats right wild turkey. if i put it on the other side i would of had to put the swing away hub too far over to the right side of the tj so i could still operate the tailgate. it just seemed easier this way

maybe you should have made the swing away section contact one or two of the bumpstops of the tailgate to help limit vibrations

Yeh i didnt think of that pezz until i realised the original tyre toutched the tailgate. i will be making 2 of the bumpstops longer so they make contact with the carrier.

good to see more people getting in and fabing up some gear, if your like me you will make a updated version every six months cause you will come up with a better idea
