solenoid just clicked, I tapped the motor and it started working again??? but it kept stopping and would only work when I kept tapping it??

11yrs out of a well used winch is pretty good though I think
Probably stuck brushes

Started taking my cylinder head off today. The lower intake manifold bolts were a PITA mainly due to my new extractors not giving me much clearance. Needed someone with long skinny arms to unscrew the last bolt out so I had to call in my girlfriend to assist. Stressful but done.

Found the limits of my suspension/tire setup today!

Returning from five rocks (Three rivers side) and the track was nicely rutted out and very soft. I got within about 6 feet of the top and lost all forward travel.

A bit of track repairs and some right foot saw me up and over but not until my rear tailgate decided to stop working and wouldn't close and I dumped most of my camp chairs and recover gear on the track!! Now to figure out how my tailgate latch works so I can repair it!

Might have to think about more lift and bigger tires! Or stick a Lokka in the front maybe

so started replacing the tie rods this arvo, got 2 done, the one on the drivers wheel was absolutely shot, might get the other 2 done tomorrow arvo, then need to save up for the drag link cause its buggered too.

does anyone know if they make an aftermarket drag link that takes the factory screw in tie rods, instead of having to replace the whole bar every
time???

then weekends job is do the rear spring bushes, weld on my new drivers upper control arm mount, rebuild the flex joint on the drivers upper control mount, replace the upper and lower control arm bushes, shockie bushes, sway bar bushes. and steering box (again) then do a wheel alignment (driveway style)

old mudmonster is going to be a brand new truck

Finally pulled my cylinder head off this arvo. Was told to use my engine hoist by a mate. Glad I did. Man it was heavy. Did it myself but if I had a mate helping me, he would have dropped it.
Was looking for a coolant temp sensor to remove at the back of the head but could not find one. Thought WTF? Head off. No sensor there.
Can anybody tell me whats the go there?
All my FSM's tell me to remove it! It's a 98.

Hey M.M.
Where did you get your tie rod ends from & do they have grease nipples?

wired up a Anderson plug, next to the trailer plug.
Re wired the trailer plug, the stuff from the previous owner was extremely thin.
