Not sure if this is the right place to ask but, what are the range of sizes of fan belt that can be used on a JK CRD? The list on the first page of this thread has 6PK2452 (OE size), 6PK2455 & 6PK2460 but what would be the min/max lengths that would be OK to use?

When I changed my fan belt, pulleys, water pump, timing belt etc I ordered all of the parts from VM Specialists in the UK. Everything arrived nice and quickly and all was good, apart from the fact that they sent me the wrong fan belt. No big deal really. I didn't have time to get a replacement sent over before the JK was booked in for it's service so I bought the correct belt here from Repco. I then thought I'd just get the correct replacement belt from VM Specialists and keep it as a spare. Turned out it wasn't as simple as that.

The belt they sent me originally was 6PK2870 which was clearly way too long (I believe it fits a CRD KJ and maybe the KK as well.......and if someone wants it then I'm happy to come to some arrangement). They admitted sending the wrong belt and then eventually (......like 7 months later!) sent me a second belt but this one is 2428 long. I questioned this as it's a fair bit shorter than the OE belt and now after 2 more months of emails they are adamant that this is OK to use. I am not willing to take their word for it as their responses to me over the last 8-9 months have not exactly inspired confidence. Hence my question; what is the acceptable range of belt lengths that would be OK to use?

For those doing serpentine and pulleys, facing the engine, top left idler puller is a Repco RPU 727, top right idler pulley is a Repco RPU 754 and the tensioner pulley is a Repco RPU 601. Repco don't do the Nuline ones (as listed at the start of the post) anymore they now have their own.
MAJOR POINT TO NOTE!!!! The pulley location guide (pdf) from dayco has them in the wrong locations, which I just found out on a sunday arvo with Jeeper in 1000 pieces!!

Thanks Irishcoffee.
The OE belt that I took off mine is the same as the one in your photo.
It should measure 2452mm as per the writing on the side.
What I'm really trying to find out is what is minimum and maximum length of belt that we can fit?

I wouldn't fit the shorter belt . It is 24 mm shorter, will move your tensioner out of the correct position and put extra tension on the belt. That is if you can even get it onto the pulleys.
Most times you can get away with 5 mm or sometimes 10 mm either way but 24 mmis too much.
