your knowledge will be missed, especially by newcomers

JJ i installed one of your looms a few years ago in my xj
with new globes it really improved the lighting
had the xj for 10 years and had a good run from it
traded it on a diesel challenger last year
so far very happy with it

No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry to see you go... Hope that your XJ is put out to a nice trail somewhere in its retirement. Your expertise and help will be missed, particularly for any pre-update owners like me.

After a considerable period of time away from trails, I did the opposite. I put on a new platform rack, new lights, UHF radio, off road tyres, and hit the (off) road again.... in the XJ.

Even though I now also own a new JKU, it is not half the fun of the XJ.

Bill McKinnon (auto critic) once wrote that the XJ seats are like the stuffed sofas sitting on the Beverly Hillbillies front Veranda. Too right!

Last year we started to retrace some of the outback tracks that we did 23 years ago! The tracks have not changed, and neither has the car...

My father-in-law is getting it so it's not going too far but it is being reverted to stock-ish....

I'll still be looking after it so I'll have to keep at least one toe in the Xj water....
