TPMS Troubleshooting
I've got a 'service TPMS' message on my EVIC and the TPMS is showing no data for the left hand rear tyre. I've checked all tyres, they are correctly inflated, so today I did a tyre rotation and the same location (left hand rear) is still showing no data even after a drive so the system can reset. This leads me to believe the problem isn't the sensor in the wheel but the signal pickup/trigger on the body at that location. So my question is, where the hell is it located and is there a wiring loom I can check for damage/correct connection?

They're under the rear quarter interior trims. From memory, just over the wheel centre, if not a little bit forward. You will probably be able to swap left for right... if going to the dealer isn't an option. Obviously check the part number first as they may have a different bus address or some other unnecessary difference 🤣
Cheers, Steve

I am having the same issue, however it's the front right giving me the trouble. I swapped the front wheel to the rear and have been on a few drives since and it still shows the front right wheel is issue. I plugged in the OBD scanner and couldn't find any fault codes, but the error is stored in the EVIC
Does anyone know where are pickup sensor is located on the front of the vehicle?
Thanks
Glen

Harro,
It will be the wheel sensor most likely at fault. Even if you swap the dodgy wheel to a new position, if the sensor is rooted then it won't be able to communicate and update it's new position. The TPMS will then report the last known position and status of that sensor. Hope that makes sense. I had mine sorted under warranty fairly quickly by local stealership.

Thanks Troutman,
I thought that would be the case. Unfortunately mine is out of warranty by 12 months so I think I will be on my own there, even know the car only has 43k on it.
will have a better look around for the the pick up on the weekend and go from there.

You can grab them off eBay from the states at very reasonable prices.
