Default Grand Cherokee diesel

I have ordered a new grand Cherokee overland and was told it would be delivered in May. Just been informed by the dealer that delivery will be June as there is an upgrade being done to the 3.0lt diesel. He could not tell me what the upgrade is. Can anyone confirm that there is an upgrade and what it is,?

Default 3.0lt diesel upgrade

Looks like it may have something to do with a slight increase in power as this motor is going in the Ram 1500 and Apparently it will be given a bit more power for Ram duties so it , hopefully means this will flow on to the Grand Cherokee

Hey Firetrack

I'm about to take the plunge and order an Overland myself - which state are you in?

Drover I presume the OP means the power to van is controlled by either an auto or ignition switched relay. This is how we wire all our customers systems.

Basically a fridge switch sort of thing and I bet they charge heaps for it .......... Fancy names usually cost more........ I wonder if they use decent wiring ?
