Has anyone pulled off the intake manifolds on their WH CRD?
Is it a massive job or pretty simple? Anything to watch out for?
boost26, I've recently used Cost Effective Maintenance's Flushing Oil Concentrate and after following their instructions the new clean oil was as black as after high idling the engine for 45 minutes doing a slow drive...I have found that the engine is now accelerating harder than it was and sounds like there's more power at idle. Going to give their other products a go now. Very impressed so far.

Could save you a job.

Its running fine at the moment but its something I want to keep long term. I have received the turbo resonator delete from the US which should reduce some lag so may as well clean the whole system out. Doesn't seem too many people do this so will take heaps of pics and post them up
HI Boost 26
where did you get the resonator delete from ? and what did it cost u ?
Id leave the manifolds as they are too, i used a few cans Liquid moly Diesel de carb and that made a difference.
its not easy task removing them an time consuming. but if you do go ahead an do it id recommend doing the oil cooler seals aswell as that is right in the V and are prone to leaking.oh and remove all the swirl flaps.
In saying that i have been thinking of clean them too haha, i just dont see any point yet as it runs sweet as and still goes like a cut snake.

Going to follow this post. I'm interested in the resonator delete and the use of de carboning spray.
