how is someone stupid enough to do this? When you finish filling the tank, you put the filler back & put the cap on your tank. What would cause some one to walk away with the nozzle still there & the cap off?

its from clipping the pump on and going to pay and forgetting about it... that little clip that holds the pump on is supposed to disabled in aus.. except hi flow diesel.

That one looks like a USA jeep. In the states the fuel pumps all have the little clip enabled. If paying cash you must go inside and pay for your fuel first then they set the limit on the pump. I can see how it happens over there as they really do not pay as much attention to fueling up as we do.
