Default PLEASE READ: Who remembers Fish?

If you have been a long term member on Ausjeep, you will remember the username "Fish"... Recently Andrew went to the doctors with a stomach-ache, only to be told the devastating news that he has been diagnosed with Stage IV bowl cancer with metastases. It has spread to his liver and lungs as well. On October 24th, Fish was admitted into hospital to have emergency bowel surgery to remove two tumours. During surgery, the surgeons realised they also needed to remove 24 lymph nodes. A one week hospital stay then turned into a 4 week stay due to complications.

Andrew has always been self-employed, working as a structural draftsman on the Gold Coast. He was living in Bali up until recently when he returned home to undergo eye surgery. While he was here, he went and had a check-up for stomach pains. That is when he received the news that he had cancer.

As you can imagine, supporting yourself alone with ongoing medical bills and inability to work has made it hard for Andrew financially. The cost of medications, transport, accommodation and alternative treatment options is extremely costly. Andrew has already had two months off work with no pay and there will be many more months to come once chemo starts.

Easing the financial stress would aid in making Andrew’s fight that little bit easier. Your generosity is humbly accepted and greatly appreciated.

Fish (Andrew) was extremely active on Ausjeep at its peak, would wheel his dog dick red TJ with the Queensland boys, attending comps and weekends away. He was a great friend of mine, we had some awesome times at Landcruiser Park, breaking Jeeps at Ormeau, and generally causing havoc wherever we went.

In recent years he has been living down the Gold Coast and found a passion for beach volleyball, and his crew there have set up a GoFundMe for him to help in his immediate costs as he is struggling financially.

I'm personally dropping some cash his way now, any little bit helps guys so please drop him a message of support and if you have a spare fivver help him out!
