Default jambo details please

Can someone give me a better idea of the dates for the jambo?

I think it runs Friday/Saturday/Sunday, is that right?

The jambo website says "The Event kicks off on Friday 4th October 2002 and concludes on Sunday the 7th"

That confuses me as the 7th is Monday and the Sunday is the 6th.

I just need to clarify this to work out how many days off I have to beg for!!

I believe Shane, nick and I are going to try and do the drive all on the thursday and either get all the way to the jambo grounds or at least make it most of the way there and just crash at some dodgy motel/camp ground. Don't want to get there late on Friday!

Then drive back on the Monday.

zzzz,

The dates are as follows,

People will be on site from Tuesday of the week beginning 30 Sept. Early arrivals Friday will have some options of guided trails.

Saturday 5th, Sunday 6th and Monday 7th(being Labour Day in NSW) are the dates.

Hope this helps..

Zach,

Did you check out the Jambo Schedule on the website?

The idea is for people to allow people to arrive any time on Friday, we'll run some trails, but since most people are traveling &/or working on Friday it's really set asside for registrations etc.
Obviously Saturday & Sunday a full of trail runs and other activities.

Monday is set aside as a wind-down day. we realise many people will need to leave on monday to get home. But there most likely will be some trails to run still (mostly dependant on demand) - just none of the "events"...

As Coops said we have members arriving on site on Tuesday and Wednesday to complete the setup etc. and if participants arrive earlier or stay later after the event that's fine....So ideally you'll have a week booked off work

Hang around for an extra day or 2 and you might get the chance to walk Porters Road

One of the great Jambo events was 8 to 10 sheets of checkerplate tack welded together, turned over to the smooth side and covered in wet clay. The event was run on a slight slope. All you had to do was nudge the pole on top of the slope with your bumper.

The V8's sounded great!

Oh - no-one made it to the top - about 9 meters!
