Fuel Priming newbie (2.5td)
Hi,
So, yesterday I got the engine back together and it started first go (yaaay). Took it for a spin, all good, good power, good idle. Switched it off, noticed some water in the fuel bowl so opened the bottom to drain it out (at least I thought thats how it was done), I used the plunger on the top to help it along, this led to bubbles entering the bowl. So, now I have a VERY hard starting engine (takes about 2 mins of on off cranking to get it to fire, then big black cloud of smoke, runs ok for about 20 secs then starts stumbling and will stall unless I floor it.
So, I'm guessing I need to bleed the pump and lines ("well done Sherlock"), could anyone give some hints on how to go about this?
Also, how tight do the small rubber return pipes have to be?
Cheers
Steve
P.S. Off to get some O-rings for the injectors too.. very leaky
