I have not looked for the liquid so will do that but I guess after so long it might be out of it.
It's out of warranty to so sounds like I need to dig deep to fix it. Especially given the Uneek bar needs to come off.

Guess they didn't pressure test/leak check the system then that is standard industry practise not to mention law also due to HFC/CFC's? Sounds like a crappy A/C repairer. I'd go ask for my money back.

Just on this I had the condenser on my MY12 replaced a year out of warranty and FCA picked up the full cost. There is a fair few failures of condensers and FCA are well aware of the issue.

coolant
Few months back my GC 2012 was also leaking green fluid, it was fixed by dealer under warranty, no questions asked. I have paper work with Cooler Condense 55038003AG listed as $783. P36 recall, testing, labor all total to about $1989. all fees passed by jeep dealer to Chrysler HQ under warranty. I had few issues after repairs with not connected parking sensors, leaking windscreen liquid bottle etc... perhaps inexperienced careless young apprentice

Re air conditioning condenser:
Just recently heard the rushing noise from around the front of the car took it local service depot and diagnosed low gas. Further checks found a leaking condenser was quoted $1200 for replacement and then labour on top estimated around $1000 for labour including removal of bull bar . So I went to local a auto elect and air conditioning workshop and they fixed it for $650 without removing the bull bar. they removed the condenser after finding the leak at the entry point and had it welded and all OK now . There is a cross member at the top that can be removed to gain access to the condenser and to remove and replace unit was around 3 hrs. hope this info may help someone

I had a condenser replaced by Berwick at 90 000km - gone again at 150 000km. Frankston told me they have sold 17 units in the last year. Looking at a non-Jeep part out of US but dont know which brand to buy - any ideas?
