Default Smashed up KKs.

This tends to happen from time to time and unfortunately today I have my own experience.

I don't know wether to laugh or cry? This morning I was very conveniently hit by two roos, yes they hit me. So the KK's looking a bit rugged atm.

First one bounced off the front right, ripped out the inner guard, bent the number plate and sprayed blood over the paint. Damage was reduced as the height of the KK pushed it under.

Second roo upped the ante when hitting the left, same damage plus ripped off the wheel arch guard.

Now the ESP light is stuck on and the wheel alignment is way off. It was almost a comical course of events, hit roo, collect Jeep bits, load in the back, drive, hit roo, collect more Jeep bits, load in the back, now getting concerned I won't have space for more bits.

To add insult to injury, NRMA want 2x the excess to essentially fix one busted front end.

Ouch mate that really sucks! I hope you don't have to wait long on repairs or parts.

I had a minor accident back in January when I embarrassingly drove up the ass of a Hilux on the beach.... very embarrassing. Speed was low so damage was very small and cosmetic with the main damage being his tow bar bending my Power Steering cooler and breaking it's mounts. My car is still drivable and fine but it's taken me over a month before I could get into the Smash Repairs and just now they've pushed me back another month as they say they are still waiting to receive ANY of the parts that they ordered... mainly new cooler and replacement front bumper and its bits.

What amuses me is I'll get a brand new bumper..... then probably take it straight off again to fit YankeeDave's bull bar. Anyone need to buy a new bumper?

Wow KKnut, I'm sorry to hear that but I'm glad you're alright. Spewing about NRMA thieves, that's outrageous.

Yea sucks about NRMA! I'm only with Budget car insurance but had no dramas with getting approved covering myself and the other guy, even with being off-road at the time, just had to pay my regular excess which was ~$600 at the time.

Can't understand why NRMA would want to charge you 2 x excess, i'd be complaining about that..

Hi KKNUT,

The pics don't look to bad is it just the wheel gaurd that damaged. Obviously any damage is bad but it may not be worth going through insurance when you calculate the excess and the difference in the policy next renewal due to the incident.

The double excess would be due to the two roos being hit at different times (Classed as two different incidents). Unless you were confused and hit both at the same time...... :confused

AS said before let us know if you need a hand with the repairs.
