Front number plate keeps getting bent

Going through water, spray keeps bending my number plate upwards.
I'm not going fast, just enough to keep up abit of momentum
The water would only be about 30 to 40cm deep.

I've heard of a couple of other people with this issue but cant find a solution.

Its been bent a couple of time now and sooner or later its going to come right off.

Any one got any better ideas than drilling some more holes and bolting the bottom of it down?

what kind of vehicle.. what kind of bar.. etc etc
I just bashed mine with a mallet to bend with the front bar.. now it doesnt bend

soz, 96 xj, just the standard factory bar.
yeah I have considered just bending it around the profile of the bar. I wasnt sure if it would help.

Do what others have done & get a sticker made up! About 10 bucks normal vinyl or 25 bucks in using fluro vinyl to keep it legal... even though it's illegal... if ya know what i mean.

yer it stops it bending.. then just get some self tappers and screw it in at the bottom. (well thats all Id do)
