The document you posted with Option 1 states 75mm total lift, which is lift + tyres, with certificates required for 50mm+ lifts. Or am I missing something?

You are right, but you can stick with the tires an go for a 3 inch lift instead. In my case I have to turn the screw at both sides, need to downsize the tires and lower the lift.

I don't think you can, the 2nd part of the rules states that the lift needs to be certified (i.e. engineered) if its over 50mm.

Quote:
and certification normally required by VSB 14 for lifts above 50 mm provided the following requirements are met. The vehicle’s suspension may be raised by up to 50mm, provided that at least two thirds of the original suspension travel in either direction is retained.

I measured around 63 cm from the centre to the outside of the arch at the rear and around 66 to 68 cm at the front. Hard to tell since the tire bends the measure.
I meant outside, you are allowed up to 619mm front (stock is 569mm) and 636mm rear (stock is 586mm), and upto 31.5" tires without engineering.

the lift kit that you have is able to be engineered in its current state as it has been done before but will require a lane change test

Unfortunately to engineer your tires you will need to replace your diffs with ones that are certified to run 35"+ tires, a prorock dana 44 or dana 60 for example, but you would still need to do the test.

I have the same suspension kit in my wj and have been looking into it for awhile now, but i am not too worried as its only for weekends and never sees road use.

Thanks Straubz. As I said, I will go for the 4 inch lift and then lower my tires to 31 inch. I am also planning to use my car primarily for off road trips and get a second car for the daily routines.

The way I read it, Total lift (2” suspension + 1” Tyre size increase) = total lift of up to 75 mm without the need for the testing and certification and the vehicle's suspension may be raised by up to 50mm

No, don’t thunk so. Max allowable without testing and certification wil be 31” Tyres and 2” suspension lift

That’s a total lift of 5”. Requires testing and certification. Lane change test, braking test.

At the end of the day, it’s your decision what you do with it....

Could you post a pic or two please

Over and out
