I want to SC my 2011 3.8 but fully installed runs around 5-6K, without any chip or intercooler (which aren't mandatory, I think). Then the fuel usage runs up to 20L/100Km

Add to that possible need to change gearing and diffs. It adds up.

Then you'll want to put bigger wheels on if you don't have them already.

Budget $10k.

Mate, considering it atm, but no dyno sheets yet, so hold off. Its about $5500 before labour, so need to consider bang for buck ... or ... $$$ per extra kw.

ie, i would love it, but do i need to get to the next set of lights first ?

Mitchell Bros in Brookvale (Sydney) are the experts, and they are working with Sprintex to sort out the issues.

I wouldn't be touching the Pentastar until you are
A: Sure your head is the newest design
B: Can afford to pay for a new head if you do get the dreaded tick/misfire problem
C: You are out of warranty

Banging a charger on there is obviously going to void engine warranty and with the known head problem I would be keeping the engine as stock as possible..
