Yeah mate. Did MOAB twice.
First time rented a Rubi 4Dr 33"/ 2" lift with Farabees Jeeps but they decided to quit moab last year so we went with Cliffhangerjeeprentals and took a 2Dr Rubi 34" 4".
I'd try Twisted Jeeps as they have more built Jeeps. There's also Canyonlands Jeep Rental. Do not go with Dan Mick's, well known to the locals as a no good two bit money grabbin unscrupulous shonk.
We did a lot of the trails ourselves instead of going with a tour whien considering how far MOAB is: "Somewhere in the middle of nowhere.." , we wanted to do it all.
Most of the trails were on the list of "prohibited trails" but was perfect for us as we did them anyway.. It will not be covered by insurance, you're entirely on your own when doing these inherently dangerous activities..
The first time we did:
Hells Revenge: All except the escalator and Mickey's Hot Tub as we were on our own and that was roll over territory
Fin and Things
Moab's Rim
Poison Spyder
Chicken's Corner
Kane Creek Canyon
Arches National Park Drive
Arches Canyon in Blanding : Jeep Jamboree
Hotel Rock also in Blanding : Jeep Jamboree
Second time round, last year we did Easter Jeep Safari, trails were:
Back of the Rocks, with Walker Evans, Mopar Performance Boys, Edelbrock
Metal Masher
Kane Creek Canyon
Hells Revenge
Pritchett Canyon
Depending on your level of experience, I would go with a minimum 35" and 3-4" lift, tow points, winch. Bring your own basic tools, A D Ring shackle, Tow Strap which can be bought there.
Topo maps are available for your iphone or android.
I have paper maps as well for back up. CB radio can be bought there, not required but useful obviously.
Anything else, ask away..
