No mate, resetting won't do anything. The previous parameters before the shitty update need to be uploaded into the ECU. This is like the BIOS/operating system on a computer if you like and is stored on ROM chips. You would think the stealerships would have offered to do this once it was clear this update was a load of shit.....but no, they chose to instead damage perfectly good cars.

My MY15 Overlander had the S91 patch loaded yesterday.
Perhaps it was the 40 degree day - still had the roaring fans and a few additional electrical foibles.
Have not checked fuel usage however, expect it to remain higher than previous.
Digital radio remains stuffed with no fix or replacement in sight.
Wondering if all these foibles are likely to affect the Quadra0drive operation.
Dealership tells me the transmission update was a safety issue and the install is mandatory.
Like the S43 update in the WH, how to stuff up a perfectly functioning vehicle in one foul swoop.
Not happy.

Had my patch done on the patch this morning. You reckon they would have got it right the first time. Only driven it from the stealers to home, so didn't notice any difference.
My economy didn't alter on the first patch.
Will post again if something unusual happens.
Cheers, Craig

G'Day Old Gringo
Had my WK2 diesel serviced before Xmas. Told them not to do the S49 update. They said its a mandatory update. I told them that under no circumstances were they to do it and if they could not guarantee that then I would not proceed with the service.
They chose not to do it, electing to defer installing a known defective update until the issue was resolved.
cheers

Mines booked in next Thursday let us know if you notice any changes for the better I have to sign a waiver if I don't want it.
Just hoping they fix the fans enough to help cool the engine when oil and water temps start to creep instead of that crappy low % spin.
