Default rear bar swingaway shiz

i am collecting steel now, it'll be a centrally mounted tyre (higher ) plus 2 jerry can holder. it'll have a basket above tyre which will match roof height...

i have seen in other threads the merits in using trailer stub axles, Ok, seen these @ supacheap. but how does the swinging arm fit to this?.

secondly, the latch.

i want to do a beefier version of a ute/trailer slotted tab latch. (you know the ones, close the tray on an aluminium ute, thenmove the latch 90 degrees to engage tab to lock it in). if there is a technical name for these latches please tell me and i will search for it. otherwise i will try to make my own latch.

is this latch method a good idea? it seems simple (so i like it) but if its no good i wont use it.

i have 2 rear door hinges from an old Pajero that i have scored for free ( tailgate incorporates a tyre) so i think i will use tese instead of stub axle.
