Default Rubicon factory lockers, query...

Hi guys,

So my 2011 rubicon has front and rear factory lockers. My question is:

The lockers can only be engaged in 4x4 LOW RANGE only??? Is this correct? Cannot be engaged in 4wd hi??

But my MAIN. Concern is that when I do engage lockers, front locker light comes on and stays solid, and rear locker always flashes, does not stay on solid. Is this telling me that the rear locker is not engaged? Do I have a problem with my rear locker?

A seen in some of my earlier posts, car is still under stat warranty, so need to know if I am making another claim or not.

I did see somewhere that when the locker is engaged that the light is solid.

Ay help would be great thanks.

Light should be solid when locked.
Check cable to rear diff. Did you allow for any lift?

If its flashing it means it hasn't engaged yet, but its set to engage. Have you tried stopping, or moving really slowly with just the rear locker engaged, and if so, what happened when you got a back wheel off the ground? Did you lose traction as if it wasn't engaged?

Lockers can only be engaged in 4LO unless you play around with the settings in the onboard computer. Not sure if ProCal can make it available in 4HI.

Usually you have to lock the rear first, then the front second (this is the case in 2013, not sure in 2011) so perhaps if you just engage the rear and don't lock up then you have a legitimate claim.

201 only has one switch which engages the rear first then front, front locks in, rear doesn't seem to, moving forward or reverse etc. etc. it does not seem to go solid at all, lift was done by DBOR, I am positive they would have made the nescessary mods when they did brake lines etc. etc. with the lift.

Does anyone know if a pro all can set the settings to engage lockers in 4hi as that would be handy...

I'd go back to DBOR and have the wiring checked. There isn't a huge amount of slack in the cable and make sure they haven't knock the connector or broken a wire.

On the 2014 Rubicon you can engage the sway bar disconnects as well as front and rear lockers in 4HI, but only under 29km/h.
