Default Interstate purchase of a jku. Car is in Nsw

Hey guys, I'm looking at buying a used 07 jku off of carsales. The car is in Sydney but I'm in Adelaide. Can anyone suggest somewhere to get it inspected?

I don't wanna flyover to get it only to find out it has some pretty big flaws.

Racv or whatever the NSW equivalent is. Certainly not going to be Jeep experts but it should be a thorough indication as to whether it is worth your effort flying over.

Yeah thanks, that's what I was thinking. Just curious if anyone else had any tips.

Might just find the equivalent and sort it out.

NRMA do these checks and are very thorough. Will give you a report of everything they find, from scratches in paint to worn ball joints to freyed seatbelts.

Private sale or dealer?

It can be a pain transferring rego. I did this, when I bought in QLD & brought to NSW. Then found that the one I got didn't have a number stamped on the engine block... Then all the further hassles to get that sorted out.

Was going to be a Private sale.

Thanks for the NRMA name, that helps.

The engine number fiasco scares me off a little. It's my first time buying interstate. But there just arent any good deals in SA.

That's funny, when I was looking there were none for sale in NSW in my price range.

I had no dramas re registering from VIC into NSW rego. I bought from a dealer and was informed they could not legally sell the car interstate with rego.

I took a bit of a risk though, I bought it unseen with no inspection and had it sent up via courier. I wouldn't have done that on a private sale though.
