Yes, I beefed up the over hang with some 75x 8mm alloy flat bar. Dosent budge now.
I rebated it the width and depth of the hanger bracket, and sandwiched in .
Leaving about 100mm past the hanger bracket.
I find it odd the do not make a 2.5m lean to tent for awnings.
They make them for the 3m gazebos. And they great.
This would give you a place for shade + a swag to throw in the tent.
Lucky I have a friend who can make such for cheap.
Just gathering materials needed .
