Default Commander Bullbar

G'day all, still only relatively new to the world of owning a Commander. But i thought i'd chuck up a couple of progress shots. I've got a 06 Limited, Diesel. I've just put a 50mm lift in, Rubicon rims and have started fitting a bullbar.
I picked up a second hand ECB Bullbars WH Grand Cherokee bullbar off Ebay. As far as my research showed the "chassis" of the Grand and the Commander are the same, so going on that theory the mounting points should be the same. And they are. The attached photos show it bolted up just to see how close it is. Wasn't remotely expecting it to fit up/line up so well/look as good as it does on it (well, in my opinion I think it looks awesome). Have to refit some/most/not sure yet how much of the existing bumper to fill in the gaps. Bit of a trim to the flares too possible. Also hit out the small dints in the bar itself. As per the photo on the Grand, it goes "over/around" the existing bumper, doesn't cut/modify/change the "chassis"/mountings/etc at all. But i'm wrapped with how it looks/fits. Still undecided on if i'm going to polish it or paint (leaning towards polishing). Anyway, i'll add more photos as the fitting continues (waiting on plastic clips/fasteners for the flares/etc).

G'day all, bit of a update on the bullbar. It's "finished" now. Raptor coated, lights all fitted/wired. Parking sensors relocated into the bullbar in the "same" spots as the original bumper. All the headlights/indicators are all visible and not obstructed by the bar in anyway. The only modifications needed were to cut holes in the original bumper to get hands in to make it easier to do the wiring for the sensors. The WH Grand ECB Bullbar/mountings weren't modified at all. So yeah, very happy with the outcome.

G'day mate, thanks. Yeah I did. I got the roll-on kit as it was cheaper at the time than the spray cans option. It came up great, i'm happy with it. The spray cans would give a smoother finish no doubt. The texture of the roll-on finish is quite sharp in a lot of places, very sharp in some. But it only seems to bother people who touch it......

Hi.
That has to be one of the nicest Commanders i have seen. The upgrades really suit it. It is a credit to you.

I think the Commander has a much nicer interior than the Grand Cherokee too.
