Default Scangauge II and the JK deisel

HI
Does any one here have a Scangauge 11 fitted to a Deisel JK and how do you find it. Which gauges work or dont work and have you tried any add a gauge's like the HP one.

Also and mainly does the fuel consumption one actually work unlike the Jeep one. My jeep one will show me the average consumption and i can reset it - but the bloody thing never shows me the actual current usage ( it drives me insane) - every other car i have had with a fuel computer shows when i take my foot off the throttle it will drop back instantly to say 2l/100k and then leap up to say 16l/100 instantly if I then floor it - The damn jeep one just always shows somewhere around 12l/100 no matter what my current throttle position is. how Does the scan gauge display it and is it in MPG or KM ( in fact are all the displays imperial or metric or sawapable between the two)

Finally is the cable long enough to mount it on the top centre of my dash on the Daystar top panel and still comfortably get to the OBD11 port under the dash?

Cheers and thanks for any replies to this

yes, its i pretty annoying not having a realtime fuel consumption figure.

if you reset the fuel consumption whilst driving it will start to show a real time figure, and then as you drive further will start showing an average consumption over distance. of course, that messes up your overall average figure, but its the only way i've been able to do it.

My fuel consumption gauge will show me the average and is reasonalbly accurate. Personally I do not trust the computer. I always manually calculate the fuel consumption when I feel like it.

i have one in my CRD jk. works well,

i normaly have mine set to show PSI (using an xgauge function in the scan gauge), Water temp, Instant Fuel and intake temp.

im fairly sure the cable will be long enough, mine sites behind steering just in front of the other gauges
