the actuator is already underway, but 60+ days of delivery from china for any order...

the turbo is new, when changing the ctuator i'll check the movement of the VN.

next step is to do a tranny deep oil change, including flushing the cooler(as it's dented i also want to see if there's enough flow through it)

Hi William.
Fwiw.
I have a 2008, post facelift CRD. My torque converter clutch locks up very quickly in first gear. After that there is no noticeable slip.

News after a loong time,

Did a transmission service myself with our mechanic assistance:
the old oil was in very good condition, no metal on the pan, so i suspect it wasn't changed much before it was "abandoned".
I did a deep flush, removing the thermostat and flushing the cooler with compressed air, then running the engine some 3/4s to flush the internal lines whilst empty, then with thermostat unplugged and fresh fluid ran the car until fresh clean oil poured out.
Might have overfilled it a tad because it was quite complicated to refill with the dipstick and whatnot.
This did not change ANYTHING.

Some weeks ago finally got the G001 chinese actuator and installed it:
Engine response changed considerably, it has power, accelerates, definitely the old actuator was not working to the ECU liking(even when it moved) but i'm still getting P0046 errors logged....

BUT, when the engine warms up... it starts "slipping", it lacks responsiveness(i still have to confirm this myself).

The shuddering at around 40 to 60kph is still there but much less as with the engine having power it can power through that band faster, have not had the time to check the wheel speeds.

Bought a Kess v2 clone and a tune from "the tuning company", with stage 1 eco, swirl delete, egr delete, O2/lambda delete, dpf delete(it doesn't has one) installed it.... but as soon as i started the engine i still get the red throttle body icon AND what's worse, a P0030 O2 heater error.... not happy i'll have to contact him again regarding this issue(if i ask the o2 to be removed, why am i still getting O2 DTCs...).

Still TBD if the tune changes anything when driving these coming days.

Merc came through(and at a surprinsgly very cheap price) but it's special order with 30+ days of delivery, ordered 2, in the meantime i'll 3d-print a replacement to move the car to the ramps(or just leave it as-is open).
Also got loctite 243 as it has replaced 242 and locks better
I just brought the same seal A 642 141 01 80, i got it from diamler trucks for $2 and they had it in stock.

Jeez, you have a problematic car there...

Sounds like its just going to take a lot of trial and error and tweaking to get it right.
My daughters car is still trouble free after all the work we did.
My 2010 now has a faulty clock spring with the airbag light coming on, and its making weird noises from the front, which sounds exactly like a front driveshaft. Only just rebuilt it, but sounds like it needs more love.

Cheers,

i'm not happy at all would be an understatement.
After the tune, fuel consumption is still atrocious it's doing 15~l/100km(it went down from the 16 it was doing....), that's almost twice what it should be and doesn't make it a usable vehicle.

i have a new tuning file sent that should finally delete the O2 sensor(or delete the DTC) but haven't had time to reflash.

Still don't know why the red ETC light is lit constantly with no errors logged save the O2 sensor one, i'll see if i can get a cheap o2 sensor on aliexpress. I also can't find if there's more than one O2 sensor, i can only see one before the cat i think from above the engine bay

There's turbo air noise still coming out when lifting the accelerator, so there might still be a massive air leak present, even when we previously checked with the leak tester at 15psi (very hard to maintain as the air leaks past the pistons like a sieve) so a recheck might be in order.

There's only so much i can try at this point
