The CRD springs do not even hold the extra weight of the CRD engine very well so I think you're wasting your time and you should just buy some new coils.

thanks yom.
but im struggling to find any aftermarket coils that arent longer than OE.
I dont want to lift it more than original (unless its an inch or less), otherwise i might have to do other things depending on the height, such as level out the back - and if thats the case i might as well do a full lift kit - but i cant afford that right now.

You wouldn't believe where I've taken a stock JK, even places some modified TJ's would have trouble getting over (and I had a heavily modified TJ before the JK).
Do go with Mopar 2" lift. I have on my JK. It make your car like boat. I put OME Nitrocharger Sport Shock. It helps a little bit. But when you put break hard, it like to felt out the part on road. Jeep dealer service spend a lot of time, but not going better.
For off-road, it is OK to me. C grade, some time B no problem if you put 33" tires

Cheers,

Terry

I wheel with a mate on the Mopar gear and the lack of travel for the money is amazing!!! Then he got DW that couldnt be sorted until he bought aftermarket arms anyway, so the theory of warranty was a waste of time and money. Has ended up swapping it over for a complete Poly setup.

His dealer must have been useless.
